I thought I would review this product as I have never seen a review on it anywhere online before except by magazine writers who never really used one.
I wanted others to know what this product offers
It is an interesting beautiful modern hi tech gas grill perfect for tight spaces like small terraces. It is made for the I phone generation that wants something with high style and performance. One of the designers actually once worked at Apple according to past press releases I read
Fuego the makers of expensive 1500 dollar plus grills and up have come up with a smaller more cost effective model that comes in colors or Stainless Steel
So far on most counts it's a winner. One of the most beautifully designed grilling products in years with some caveats. Check their website out it's a beauty.
It is more challenging to cook on then your typical Weber however I imagine with some time one can adjust to the unique design of the burners and the control knob that also takes some adjusting too for self ingnition. It does work fairly well but takes a simple learning curve for ignition
My complaints so far with this grill is cleaning is somewhat of big challenge under the burners and the grease cup is too tiny and flimsy
The gas tank is hidden behind the stunning perforated colored or Stainless steel curved sheet
My biggest pet peeve however is every time you want to cook you have to remove the metal sheet front plate which otherwise perfectly hides the unsightly gas tank. You then place the curved rounded tank cover somewhere in my case on the floor of my terrace to turn the gas on. It looks awful with the cover off and you now have this cover you have to find a place for until you shut the gas off after cooking and then reinstall the cover. What on earth were they thinking? Incredibly stupid on the part of the designers.
This is going to be a deal killer for some. I imagine upcoming on a future design they are going to have to put the door on a hinge or other improved design. Otherwise face a lot of returns or lost sales from folks that find this a major annoyance every time they want to turn the grill on
A huge disappointment for what is the most incredible high design grilling product in years to hit the market at an affordable price for what it is.
The other very sad element is the company itself. While they publish a clever blog they have no one during regular business hours at the company to answer questions intelligently and do not return phone calls promptly taking days to respond. There is practically no one working at the company. They are more interested in selling products and letting someone else worry about customer concerns. My unit came with a damaged cutting board for example that was poorly packed by Fuego. The voice mail said someone would call back in 3 days or more.
Fuego also told me that dealers would have the new grill close to Memorial Day in late May and couldn't be bothered to follow up with me when it would come in. Here it is October and I finally received the grill yesterday.
My advice to Fuego? Hire a few folks or outsource to a world class service provider who can advise and inform customers. This would build long term satisfied customers spreading good word of mouth.Fuego is in need of improved customer service that said they do make a stand alone category killer product even with the current above flaws noted. The product performs reasonably well in most cooking attributes especially as I continue to break in the grill. Overall my patience may have paid off overall despite the earlier disappointing business behavior early on of the Fuego folks.
Updates March 7th 2010.The Fuego folks now have future thoughts/plans about installing hinged doors on upcoming production models. Call or email to find out.
After a few months of back and forth with the Fuego folks they put me in touch with a manufacturer rep that was able to redesign the function of gas door cover to incorporate a working hinge. It has greatly improved my satisfaction with this product. Some of my earlier criticisms are starting to be addressed internally at the company. One may need patience dealing with these folks and their service providers but they do follow through eventually. All in all I do recommend the product for those that seek great design attributes over some shortcomings with functions like cleaning the interior of the grill. An excellent fellow Amazon reviewer Frank Diniz has suggested lining the bottom of the grill with foil which I plan to try. In the end the Fuego folks have kept and lived up to their promises by exchanging the damaged shelf and assisting me in finding a solution to the no hinge door issue. Though I am reasonably satisfied with my purchase based on limited high design grill options in the market place I believe future improved models will be superior to what our first generation products are like. That said it is an acceptable choice as its stands today. Thanks to all for voting my review to the number one position here on Amazon Cheers

Combining innovative form with versatile function, this 21-inch gas grill not only adds a vision of modern art to any back deck or patio, but it also cooks up great-tasting food--no charcoal required. The unit features a 24,000-BTU dual-zone burner with two elements: the outer ring (zone 1) provides indirect heat while the inner ring (zone 2) works best for standard grilling. Use zone 1 for indirect heat to bake, barbecue, and roast, or close the roasting lid to utilize zone 2 to smoke or to generate convection heat. Electronic ignition with a single control knob ensures complete control over the temperature and both burners. The unit also provides a swing-out wood prep tray tucked under the cast-iron grill top for setting a glass of red wine; stainless-steel handles for hanging tools and towels; and propane storage underneath with a removable front panel to keep the tank out of sight, but within easy reach. Other highlights include stainless-steel burner tubes, a grate made of cast iron for maximum heat conduction, a temperature gauge on the lid, adjustable vents, a powder-coated steel burner bowl and body with a molded plastic base, and smooth-rolling ABS casters with rubber tread and locks. Optional accessories (sold separately) include a 20-inch pizza-baking stone that fits directly into the grill and a cast-iron griddle flat plate for searing and grilling peppers and onions or shrimp in the shell.

Weber 7554 Premium Cover, Fits Summit 400-Series Grills Review

Weber 7554 Premium Cover, Fits Summit 400-Series Grills
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Most of the Weber equipment is excellent (if pricey), but their vinyl covers are not very good. The material does not breathe, and while the latest versions have apparently eliminated the mesh air circulation vents which also allowed rain to pour onto the grill, they now presumably will have issues with condensation in hot weather... I have tried two of these Weber covers (with vents), and in addition to leaking, both have cracked after a couple of season's exposure to the California sun. Overall I have been quite disappointed.
As an alternative, check out the Veranda BBQ Cart Cover. This is a *far* superior design, and costs less as well! The material is a tough nylon weave (similar to soft-luggage) with a polyester backing and piping at the key seams. The elastic cinch on both ends, combined with nylon buckles at each leg ensure that the cover will stay in place during even the highest winds. There are rain-protected vents directly over the left/right tables, with inner 'no-see-um mesh' to stop bugs. Even the built-in handles to simplify removal are a nice touch and work well.
The Large size fits our Weber Summit S-470 perfectly. The edge seams line-up exactly, and the bottom hem rests on the cart wheels. I first tried the XL (which is supposedly the 'right' size for the 400-series), but the seams were off by several inches and the cover also drooped on the ground. Presumably the XL would fit the Summit 600-series instead.

George Foreman GGR50B Indoor/Outdoor Grill Review

George Foreman GGR50B Indoor/Outdoor Grill
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Before I get into this review, we have to understand the product we are looking at: a George Foreman ELECTRIC grill. George Foreman products are essentially useful variations of hotplates. In this case, the hot plate takes the form of a grill (with a stand, a dome cover, a large cooking surface with raised grooves etc...).
That being said, this product caters to people (me) willing to try a product that is not a traditional charcoal grill, could be useful in smaller spaces/porches, looks like it is easy to use and clean up, could potentially cut some fat (never hurts, right?), and seems like it will work well as a good back-up grill or a quick solution to throwing mini-bbqs requiring even heat distribution without the hassle of buying/lighting/dumping coal. If that's you, then read on...
Here, I'll try my best to outline the grill's pros and cons, as well as do a quick, inevitable comparison it to a traditional charcoal grill.
PROS:
The pros of this grill basically equal the pros of using hot plates in general:
1) Quick Heat - The whole surface heats up very quickly (you'll be ready to cook in a few minutes after you twist the switch)
2) Design - Basically you have the stand, a bottom dome, the flat grill that sits on the bottom dome, then the lid (top dome). You can easily remove the flat grill part to use indoors separate from the stand, and it also makes for easy cleaning since you can just throw the flat grill surface in the sink.
3) Easy to Clean - The grill surface is relatively easy to clean. Understand, grease is never easy to clean. But in my situation, i wipe off the chunks of grease with paper towels, then run hot water over it in the sink (yes it fits in my sink) and wash it with a soapy sponge. It's basically like cleaning a big oily plate by hand in the sink, however easy or hard that is to you.
4) Space Saving - The bulk of the materials are where it should be: the grilling surface. Everything else (aka the stand) is small and portable.
5) Easy to Assemble - A no brainer. Put the pole of the stand into the foot of the stand. Attach the grilling surface to the bottom dome. Stick that whole thing on the stand. Then put the cover on top. Took a few minutes while I was watching TV.
6) Great Tasting Food - Of course this part is important. I tried cooking everything unseasoned and it just tastes great. I mean, this this one thing I love about hotplates...food tastes good without a lot of seasoning. I cooked unseasoned burgers, top sirloin, chuck roast, kielbasa..it was fast, it tasted good, and it had good looking grill stripes on it when I was done.
Cons:
Seriously, not much that I can think of. If I had to be picky:
1) Could be a little heavy for people with a bad back?
2) When you lift it by the handles, the stand comes out (since they're not really "attached"....the grill just sits on the stand.) So you gotta lift it by the pole of the stand, really...this isn't even a con truthfully.
3) People complain about the grease not dripping into the pan. Well, it's a hot plate with grooves and a hole in it for grease to drip. Of course not all the grease magically swims toward the magical grease drip hole. But still, it works fine...I didn't notice sever grease build-up that stood in the way of my grilling.
Comparison to a Traditional Grill:
Really, there shouldn't be a comparison. Obviously this is not a charcoal grill and should never be compared to one. They are just 2 different things, and so they make food taste different: traditional grills basically fire cook your food through the coal's heat so you get the taste of charcoal while this product essentially "pan sears" your food. I'm a long time lover of all kinds of BBQ, and charcoal grills are great fun, make great tasting food and really cannot be replicated. You shouldn't be buying this grill to ever *REPLACE* a charcoal grill; it should be bought to be a 2nd grill that's great for rainy days or a primary grill if you really have no space and don't have time/space to deal with lighting and dumping charcoal.
Overall, this grill is an electric hot plate with raised grooves that makes great tasting food quickly, quietly, and easily. And for what it is, it's a SUPERB product (and relatively affordable too!). Go get one! I didn't regret my purchase and I don't think you will either.

Don't let the pretty stainless steel on the outside fool you into thinking these things are weatherproof and long-lasting. The inside of mine (burners and grate) rusted out in a year. The worse thing here is that these parts have a 10 year warranty and Char-broil denied my case. I keep this grill covered and against my house when not in use. Very disappointed all around.

I use this light on my Weber S320 grill. It has a switch to automatically turn on when the lid is open and off when the lid is closed. It also has a day/night sensor to prevent it from wasting the battery while grilling in daylight.
It will light up the entire grill with a natural colored light. The light does not distort color. This is very nice for checking how well done the food is.
I highly recommend this to light.

Weber 3747001 Genesis E-310 Propane Grill, Dark Green Review

Weber 3747001 Genesis E-310 Propane Grill, Dark Green
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When it came time for me to buy a grill, I looked immediately to the Weber Genesis series, mainly because my family has always owned Webers and we've never been disappointed by them. My dad's prior Genesis grill lasted about 10 years before needing to be replaced, and likely would have lasted longer if it weren't for the harsh South Florida climate (the humid air down there is really rough on anything metal that's left outside).
I opted for the E-310 as I didn't need a side burner and didn't quite feel like paying up for the stainless steel model (which is nice, but hard to keep clean!).
This is a GREAT all around grill. IMO, there's nothing worse than a cheap gas grill - they don't maintain even heat, they don't get hot enough, and they often have the heat source too close to the food. I have a feeling a lot of the charcoal snobs out there (and I admit I used to be one myself) believe so ardently in charcoal's superiority partly because they've compared it only to a cheapo gas grill - guess what, it isn't the "rich smokey flavor" that makes charcoal grills great, it's the heat (they get hotter than most of the cheaper gas grills available) and the evenness of the heat. When buying a gas grill, you DO get what you pay for - and the Weber Genesis series is worth it. My Weber will heat to 600+ degrees, maintains even heat, and the heat source is far enough from the food to limit flare ups.
I've had this for about 2 weeks now and even I'm surprised how much I use it - almost every night (and THAT IMO is the main advantage of gas vs. charcoal, this thing is so convenient that I use it probably 5 times a week even though I live alone so I'm usually cooking for one). Thus far I've cooked steaks, pork chops, chicken breasts, and chicken wings on it (as well as sides like corn on the cob, asparagus, and new potatoes, all done on the grill of course), and it's ALL come out great. I'm very happy with it and I'm sure it'll only get better as the grill gets broken in and as I get more experienced using it.
If I've helped convince you to spring for the E-310, there's one thing you should consider (aside from whether to go stainless steel and whether to go with a side burner - those are both personal preferences) that you may not know about: there's a choice between cast iron and stainless still grill grates. I'm pretty sure the one offered on Amazon has the cast iron. Now, in most cases I think cast iron is great for cooking (it really holds the heat in better and gives a superior sear vs. other metals), HOWEVER cast iron does not hold up very well when left outside, especially if you live in a humid climate. Also, it's harder to clean. For this reason, if you live in a humid climate I'd recommend going for the version of the E-310 that has a stainless steel grill, you can find them if you look around. You can still get that cast iron sear when you want it by simply buying a Lodge cast iron skillet or griddle (available here on Amazon for < $20) and using it right on the Weber grill for certain dishes - I did this for a Filet Mignon the other night and it produced an excellent sear.
Overall, 5 stars for the Weber Genesis for a great cooking experience AND great Weber quality that should last you 10 years or more, if properly taken care of.

No more annual overhauls, Weber's Genesis grill is built for high-performance grilling for years to come. The Genesis E-310 gas grill features an enclosed cart with stainless steel doors and handles for easy, scratch-free cleaning. A stainless steel shroud with a center-mounted thermometer is bordered with shiny, cast-aluminum end caps.
The cooking system, rated at 42,000 Btu's, includes 3 seamless stainless steel burners. For easy starts, an electronic Crossover ignition system lights all three burners in succession with the push of a button. Weber's porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars eliminate grease-fueled flare-ups that often occur with standard lava rocks and ceramic briquettes. Fats and juices are vaporized when they hit the angled bars and quickly sizzle away, adding delicious, smoky barbecue flavor rather than cauterizing flames. Sturdy cooking grates feature 7-millimeter stainless steel rods. The primary cooking area measures 507 square inches. And, the unit's handy warming rack measures 130 square inches for a total cooking area of 637 square inches.
Other features include 6 tool holders, a precision fuel gauge, 2 stainless steel work surfaces, 2 heavy-duty front locking casters and 2 heavy-duty back swivel casters. The purchase includes a cookbook and 10-foot flexible hose, and is covered by a limited manufacturer warranty.

The grill is a wonderful purchase. If you'r not handy with a screw driver this item would be some what difficult to put together, but can be done. Grill is very portable and great to take with you on trips.
Cooking for 1 or 2 people this grill does well.
The only negative is the top shelf gets in the way of turn meat. I've
remove my top shelf. The small camping propane tank are great for portable usage but would recomend getting the adpator to use a propane
tank. Grill is great for small patios, apartments or someone that does not want to have a huge grill in the back yard.

The Camp Chef SPG-90B has been a perfect choice for a camp stove and the BBQ box makes a good combination on top of this 3-burner stove. It is much sturdier than it looks in photos. It sets up in 2 minutes, and really IS portable despite having 3 burners. We wanted to look at one in person, but couldn't find a retailer anywhere in the area so we took a chance on buying this on the internet. Delivery was FAST! However, the photo on the internet shows a rack underneath and the description clearly says that it comes with a rack underneath. FYI - It doesn't. You have to buy one separately and it's $20-$30 from other sources. We do not regret this purchase though.

I love this grill. It's cool looking, has a great storage box feature and a nice large round cast iron surface.
It's lid is key when cooking on the beach or in a windy situation. I also have the Weber q 200 and while that grill is great I prefer this one for transportability and color. The Weber runs about $200. I lucked out and bought this one on Amazon on sale for $136.00. I can't speak to the longevity of this grill but I would buy it over the Weber if I had to choose one.
From what I understand the manufacturer of the O-3000 is an expert in making propane tools. It shows with this grill. The regulator seems to be very high quality, the auto ignition button works in a snap and the flame from the stainless steel burner is solid, strong and blue. I've only had it a few weeks now and hope to give another review after a long summer of beaching, tailgating and camping.
UPDATE;
Well, Ive had this grill for over a year now and its still great. I use it on the beach and camping. It still burns strong and even.
The food the design and the ease of use make this a great grill to own. In fact, I just bought the O-Grill 1000 model ( smaller version) for more intimate beach and camping days and I LOVE it too!

Weber 3742001 Genesis E-310 Propane Grill, Copper Review

Weber 3742001 Genesis E-310 Propane Grill, Copper
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Summary -- a great grill with even cooking across the grill, gets hot (over 600 deg F), with a bit of clunky charm and plenty of accessories.
OK -- I've had a very expensive grill (>$2k) for the past 5 years, and traded it for furniture when I moved. After researching grills, the great unwashed mass and periodicals indicated that Weber Grills had even temperatures across the grill. That was important because my former grill was hot, hot, hot but very uneven in temps across the grill. My only concern with the Weber was, "Is it hot enough?"
Quick Answer -- yes -- it climbed to 550 F fairly quickly and was still climbing. That was important because I want to grill Pizza.
Assembly - I hope you have your own hex set because the one supplied takes time. An auto screwdriver is a helpful addition. This is a 2 person bonding experience for assembly, at least for me, as I'm easily bored. The directions (pictures) are not bad but doesn't anyone write a manual using words in our native tongue? Assembly may take 1.5 hr +/- depending on your do it yourself talents.
First time use was steaks -- the grill is hot! and sears well -- they turned out perfectly - medium rare; Second time was chicken; next was scallops. They all turned out delicious and the grill is a snap to use.
I recommend the grill cover and adding the smokers kit if you want to slow cook ribs, chicken, etc. I laid a smoke box on the Weber twice and the grill produced fine smoke. I think the Weber kit will smoke the chips faster and hotter since it lays on the flavor grates.
The cons? OK -- it is clunky looking compared to my uber-expensive grill. But then, it was $649 (LP Version) and cooks better than Mr. Uber-Expensive.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this grill and highly recommend it.

Weber Summit S-420 NG Gas Grill - Stainless Steel Review

Weber Summit S-420 NG Gas Grill - Stainless Steel
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The grill was pretty easy to set up. Since my back yard is open and exposed, I will chain this beauty down...but there is no easy way to do that, I'll have to drill through the stainless steel.
Reading reviews of other models, I knew that it was going to run hot. But caution! The book of recipes that comes with the grill will make you burn everything up. It does warn that they are extra hot before they get broken in (dirty) but that doesn't say it all. I very nearly ruined 3 meals before I started watching the meat instead of following their instructions to leave the lid down as much as possible.
Always adding olive oil to your meat will make things better. Having a grill that will heat to 500 degrees or more is great, it is easier to clean than my old one. You can bake a pizza in there.
I did not follow the advice from a review on a similar model, I've gone ahead and purchased the Webber cover. While the stainless steel is easy to maintain, the rain and snow leaves too much dirt on it, so I'll cover it in winter.

I know, I know -- It's another one of those "As seen on TV" gimmicks. This one really works! I'm a grill nut and I have all the accesories to prove it. This one is Great. I just heat the grill up (a Weber of course)fill the Grill Daddy with water - turn the water knob to on and scrub like you would with any other grill brush. The difference is the water - it works like a steam cleaner. It's like when you de-glaze the bottom of a pan by adding a little water or wine to make a gravy or sauce. The grate is perfectly clean with very little effort. I'm getting one for my brother. Good Grillin'

The ultimate grilling companion, this hardworking brush uses the power of steam to tackle even the toughest grease and residue buildup. Featuring strong stainless-steel bristles, the unit works aggressively on messes, while protecting cast-iron, steel, and porcelain grill grates from scratching and damage. Simple to use, just fill the handle with tap water and turn the grill on low before scraping. The heat from the grill warms the water, creating steam that effectively loosens crusted foods and returns the grill grates to their original shine. Best of all, the unit's long handle protects hands from burns and splatters, and its two-sided removable dishwasher-safe head cleans easily and offers both wide and fine bristles, efficiently polishing between even the smallest of spaces. Use the storage hook for hanging the tool when not in use. The grill brush measures approximately 22 by 4 by 6 inches.

Weber 2780301 Summit S-670 Propane Tuck-Away Rotisserie Grill, Stainless Steel Review

Weber 2780301 Summit S-670 Propane Tuck-Away Rotisserie Grill, Stainless Steel
Average Reviews:

This is the newer model S670 #2780301. The previous model was 2780001 so check the number before ordering. I was planning on the smaller s470 but Northline express had a sale on the s670 for about the same price, so I jumped on it. It arrived by freight (free shipping) and the driver rolled it into my garage by himself with a special dolly. Plan on 2 or more people to help move it. My son and I moved it about 5 feet at a time working towards my backyard.
It came well packaged and completely assembled except for the 2 side wings. A few screws and you're done. They recommend a 20# propane tank but I'm looking for 30-40# because if you use all the burners the propane disappears fast, so have a spare ready. I thought the gimmicky knob and grill lights would be useless, but now I find them very helpful at dusk and night. They're useful gimmicks! The hide away rotisserie motor is another nice touch. It frees up shelf space when not in use and you don't have to attach and unattach it when needed. You just pull a tab and there it is ready to use.
I don't want to drag this out but I've used all of the grills functions and the results are excellent. It's expensive but worth it. I would assume the s470 is just as good for less. Look for overstock and other sales. I think I got a great deal. Good luck!
Oh! There's a newer cover for it also 7555 with side vents instead of the front and rear vents that leaked water into the grease tray.

Charcoal Companion Platinum Gas Grill V-Shape Smoker Box, Long Review

Charcoal Companion Platinum Gas Grill V-Shape Smoker Box, Long

I've been looking to buy a smoker box for years but they were always a little too pricey. This one was at such a reasonable price that I was concerned that it would be flimsy. But it's not. It's sturdy and fits my grill perfectly.
I live in an area where charcoal grills are prohibited, so I'm stuck with a gas grill. Finally I can get grilled food that tastes like what I remember from when I was a kid.

Gas grills are considered by many to be the most convenient way to grill but unfortunately this usually means giving up great smoky flavor for convenience. The Charcoal Companion Smoker Box features a V-shape bottom which allow it to sit between the flame deflector bars of most gas grills. This positions the smoke right beneath the food grate for the most intense smoke flavor. Stainless steel smoker box has hinged lid and is reusable. Add wood chips of your flavor choice and place between the flame deflector bars on the gas grill. (wood chips not included)

Char Broil Patio Bistro Infrared Electric Grill Review

Char Broil Patio Bistro Infrared Electric Grill
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Bottom Line: 3 Stars and Rising.
The Patio Bistro does its intended purpose. I like this grill the more I use it. It gets, hot, is easy to clean, and has a nice large cooking area. With time my rating may improve as the painfull memory of assebly fades into the past. This would be a nice choice for use where charcoal and propane grills are not allowed. As of this writing I have owned the Patio Bistro Grill for a little over 1 month. I own and have used various charcoal and gas grills, smokers, and barbeques over the past 30 years. I consider myself as very experienced in outdoor grilling.
This remainder of this review will be in two parts.
First the Good! The Patio Bistro Grill Does Cook Food quite Nicely: 4 Stars
Once assembled the Patio Bistro is quite a nice little grill. It has a nice large grilling surface, and heats quite adequately for grilling and roasting. Once the lid is closed, the temperatures easily rise to over 400F.
I never let it get much higher than that, though I expect it would get above 500F if left on its own.
Heating time is quite reasonable. When compared with a charcoal grill it is very quick (if you include the time it takes to light the charcoal).
I have roasted chickens, grilled hamburgers and steaks, and, using a non-stick pizza pan as a griddle have cooked bacon, eggs, and toast quite easily.
The grill surface is fairly generous in size for an electric grill; useable for cooking a dozen burgers at a single time. It even comes with a removable warming rack located at the rear of the grill.
The knobbed electric dial used to specify cooking temperature has a nice range, and the included on/off light is usefull for levelling off interior temperatures once they have been reached.
The grill surface is relatively easy to clean off, and cools quickly when unplugged. The greatest virtue of Electric Grills is in not having to buy, carry, store or ignite fuels, and KNOWING that the grill is turned off, simply by ungplugging the unit.
Second the Not So Good: Assembly: 1 star
As other reviewers have stated, this grill is unnecessarily difficult to put together.
In this day and age of premanufactured and buyer assembled products, there should be no need to designe something that requires so many different tools, different fasteners, and lengthy instructions.
It took me the better part of 90 minutes to assemble this correctly. The instructions were only marginal.
Also, Once Assembled the whole product can be a bit wobbly, so you will spend time tightening and retightening nuts and bolts.
The Bottom Line: 3 Stars and Rising.
