(More customer reviews)I bought one of these, unpacked it, followed the directions for heating it up, and within 5 minutes it had broken clean in half - cracked open while heating on the grill. I thought it was a fluke, possibly damaged in shipping, so I got a replacement through Amazon (one of the best return policies of ANY company. period.)
I was very careful with the second one. Unpacked it and examined it closely. Looked okay. Followed the directions on cleaning it and heating it to the letter. It was sitting on the grill for about 10 minutes, warming up for a pizza I was about to cook, and "crack," it broke in half just like the first one. Now I've given up. Back to the oven with my pizzas and bread. I had high hopes, but this pizza stone must have some major design flaw.
Even if treated very gently (and why should you have to treat a "stone" gently anyway), you are likely to end up with two jagged, useless pieces of rock.

For use with Fuego's innovative Element Grill, this pizza stone is designed for making homemade pizzas, calzones, breadsticks, and more. The grill's dual-zone burner with two elements lets a cook bake, barbecue, and roast, as well as smoke and generate convection heat, so the pizza stone is a natural fit for adding even more versatility. Crafted from a natural, porous material the stone allows steam to escape and creates a crispy crust. The stone measures 20 inches in diameter, for the creation of amply sized, quick-cooking pizzas. It makes a great gift for Element grill owners who don't yet have all the accessories.
